After all the edits, rewrites and struggles involved in writing, it is so rewarding to watch an illustrator bring your characters to life. You might even call it the "fun part" of writing a children's picture book. The illustrator that I am working with, in addition to being extremely talented, is also a wonderful lady and we collaborate well.
